    Responsibilities:
    Maintain, repair and replace heating, ventilating and air cooling equipment, including kitchen ventilation and refrigeration equipment. Make continuous rounds of inspection to check fans, motors, dampers, vents and other parts; adjusts pneumatic and digital control systems, adjusts, programs, and trouble-shoots HVAC systems on computerized digital control systems. Performs preventive maintenance, diagnosis, repairs and replaces all components for HVAC systems. Trouble shoot direct digital control systems including sensors, controllers, control programs and communication systems; performs any related work as required; duties will at times be subject to review, delegation and/or reassignment. Position requires constant reaching, bending, stooping, ability to climb ladders, be on feet 8 hrs/day, and frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds; occasional dual-lifts of up to 100 pounds; frequent movement of heavy loads.

    Qualifications
    Required:
    -High School diploma or equivalent
    -Communicate (read, write, and speak) and direct the work of others by oral and written instructions in English, must pass English component of interview process
    -Completed and submitted BVSD online application
    -Currently hold a valid Colorado Driver's License
    -Positions within this classification require EPA certification to recover, reclaim and recycle refrigerants
    -Submit a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and must be insurable and maintain insurability per Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) standards

    Preferred:
    -Minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilating, refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment in a commercial or large multi-building setting
    -Minimum of three years experience with direct digital control programming and trouble-shooting, preferably with the Andover Continuum system
    -Satisfactory completion of a recognized apprenticeship; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
    -Maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
    -Able to use refrigeration gauge, turbo-torch and proper fluxes for silver soldering, ammeter, voltmeter and U gauge; read and understand service manuals, technical specifications and blueprints
    -Working knowledge of boilers and boiler controls which include safety devices, fireside, water sides and piping; must have good working knowledge of the Underwriters Codes UL, FM, AGA
