The University of ColoradoDenver l Anschutz Medical Campus seeks individuals with demonstrated commitmentto creating an inclusive learning and working environment.  We value theability to engage effectively with students, faculty and staff of diversebackgrounds.

This postingwill establish and maintain a pool of part-time lecturers with experienceteaching general Philosophy courses, such as the Introduction to Philosophy:Relationship of the Individual to the World, Introduction to Ethical Reasoning,Logic, Language, and Scientific Reasoning, Ideology and Culture: Racism andSexism and courses within their area of expertise, for the Department ofPhilosophy in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University ofColorado Denver. Lecturers may be asked to teach on campus or fully online.


Bysubmitting your application, you will become part of an applicant pool.Candidates hired from this pool will fill temporary, non-tenure track positionsand will teach no more than two courses per semester. Appointments will bepart-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester, depending onthe needs of the department and subject to budgetary approval. Therefore, thisposting does not necessarily reflect a current open position. This Lecturerrecruitment pool is anticipated to remain continuously active.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

Priorexperience teaching Philosophy courses is preferred. Prior experience teachingonline using the Canvas LMS is preferred for online and/or hybrid courseteaching.

Minimum Requirements

Master'sdegree in Philosophy or related field. If the M.A. is in a related field, aminimum of 18 hours of graduate course work in Philosophy are required.
